THE STONES SPEAK at National Archaeological Museum

The great writers of antiquity come to life at select archaeological sites and monuments of Athens, through theatrical performances offered by young talented actors.

This July at the National Archaeological Museum gardens (patio) world-class texts by Homer, Plato, Aristotle, Thucydides, Sophocles and Aristophanes meet the contemporary audience by means of a surprising, entertaining and educational experience.

Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 11.00 to 13.00

Texts are performed in three languages (Greek – English – French).

Will be performed selected texts from:
– Homeric Hymn to Aphrodite
– Sophocles’ Antigone
– Aristotle’s Rhetoric
– Plato’s Symposium
– Thucydides Pericles’ Funeral Oration
– Aristophanes’ Lysistrata
– Homer’s Odyssey
