Extended hours of operation for Greek Archaeological Sites and Museums

The Ministry of Culture and Sport announced the museums and archaeological sites that will operate an extended schedule up to October.

Specifically, the Acropolis and Thera’s Akrotiri archaeological sites; the Zakros and Pella palaces; and the Chania archaeological museum are already open from 8 am until 8 pm.

The Sounio archaeological site is open until sundown, and the Knossos archaeological site is open to 7 pm. Also, the National Archaeological Museum, the Thessaloniki Archaeological Museum, the Aigai archaeological site and museum (Vergina), Spinalonga and others will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

All archaeological sites, monuments and museums will be closed on Easter and May 1. They will be open from midday to 5 p.m. on Good Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Holy Saturday.
